At Tash Thompson Photography, your privacy — and your child’s safety — are incredibly important to me. I understand how personal these images are, and I take great care in how they are captured, stored, and shared.

This Privacy & Child Image Policy outlines how personal information and photographs are collected, used, disclosed, and protected in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

  • Register a child for photography

2. Children’s Photography & Consent

I require clear consent before photographing any child.

Only children who are registered for photography are photographed. By completing a registration form, the parent or legal guardian provides consent for:

  • Their child to be photographed, and
  • Their child’s images to be displayed within a secure, private online gallery

Children who are not registered are not photographed.


3. Private Online Galleries

Each registered child is provided with a private, password-protected online gallery.

  • Each gallery contains images only of your child
  • Families cannot view images of any other children
  • Gallery access details are sent only to the registered parent or guardian
  • Access is restricted to the email address provided during registration

For privacy and security reasons, I never share passwords or viewing details with anyone outside the registered email address.

If you choose to share your gallery login with extended family, that is entirely your decision. Family members may place orders using their own contact and payment details if you provide them access.


4. Use of Images for Website, Social Media & Promotion

As part of the registration process, you will be asked whether you give permission for your child’s images to be used for:

  • Website content
  • Social media
  • Printed promotional material
  • Educational or photography-related content

You may select Yes or No, and your choice is always respected.

If you select Yes:

  • Images may be shared publicly
  • Children are never named

If you select No:

  • Images will never be shared publicly
  • Images will remain visible only within your private gallery and review by Little Tikes.


5. Group Images

Group images are not being taken at this time.


6. Use and Disclosure of Personal Information

Personal information is only used for the purpose for which it was collected, including:

  • Providing photography services
  • Managing registrations, bookings, invoicing, and payments
  • Delivering galleries and print products
  • Sending updates or promotional material (with consent)
  • Improving services and customer experience
  • Meeting legal and regulatory obligations

Personal information is never sold and is only shared:

  • With your consent
  • With trusted service providers (such as gallery platforms, payment processors, or professional printing labs)
  • Where required by law

You may opt out of marketing communications at any time.

Information is stored on secure systems, and access is limited to what is necessary to provide services. While every effort is made to protect your data, no online system can guarantee absolute security, and I cannot accept liability for unauthorised access during transmission or storage.
